At Cosmonauts we are industry agnostic from conception. Having established ourselves within the legal tech and IP sectors, we successfully entered the Space-Tech industry last March by launching We are now ready to move a step further and expand our portfolio to the field of Agri-Tech as well. In this context, we are very excited to announce the launch of GAIA – the Global Agri-Tech &  Innovation Assembly.

Having monitored closely the current trends in the Agri-Tech industry for the past year, we decided to establish GAIA in order to bring together Pioneers from the Agri-Tech sector, leading Agribusiness Firms, Government bodies, Associations and Farmers from across the world. GAIA’s aim is to constitute an excellent opportunity for anyone who is keen to peek into the future of agriculture and business.

The conference will cover trends, technology, best practice and innovations within topics such as indoor agriculture, meat production, biotechnology, open air farming, modernising business models and much more. Together we will debate about the future of one of the most important sectors of every world economy.

When I was assigned the production of the Cosmonauts brand new Agri-Tech event, I thought “Wow cool, I know a lot of stuff about Afri-Tech”. To be entirely fair, when I was thinking about Agri-Tech, I thought it only refers to high tech tractors or even drones and GPS technology. In other words, I knew nothing and I had no idea about how developed the industry is. Working on GAIA’s production I get constantly surprised with the current trends and new technologies used to produce our food. For instance, have you ever heard of the term “Hydroponics”? It refers to a method of growing plants without soil, by using mineral nutrient solutions in a water solvent. I had no idea that plants could grow without any soil. Getting involved and doing research for an industry that I barely knew it existed, makes my work so interesting. I can’t wait for the event to be held and hear all these pioneers sharing their insights about one of the world’s most rapidly evolving industries.

We will be sharing more information about the current Agri-Tech trends and what to expect from GAIA in a 5-blog-posts series which will be published soon. Stay tuned for more!
