Connecting the worlds of Business, IP and R&D in 2021!

After a hugely successful launch event in 2019, the Dublin IP and R&D Summit 2.0 has now grown to become a 2-day Intellectual Property and R&D Conference and Expo. For the 2nd edition running, we are partnering with Headline Sponsor Enterprise Ireland, the government body responsible for innovation in the region, with 3,500+ strong membership of IP owners including Start ups, SMEs and Corporates. While 2020 has put us all on a little hold, we are now ready to relaunch and bring you the summit refreshed and reloaded! Mark your diaries, we are excited to announce that the new date for the launch of Dublin IP and R&D Summit 2.0 is drumroll please… 22nd-23rd September 2021! We have written everything you’ll need to know in this blog, but if you’re ready now, head to the website to learn more.

The summit is split into two parts, starting with a full day IP Commercialisation Workshop delivered by our strategic partners Coller IP on the 22nd of September 2021. This workshop is aimed at In-House and IP Owners. We will discuss topics such as the best practices in shielding hard and soft IP, and the importance of dialogue and practices between R&D and IP teams for consistent business growth. This is followed by an interactive IP and R&D conference on the 22nd of September, consisting of two streams of discussions looking at the most contemporary trends in the world of innovation.

We are thrilled to have Richard Nugent, Head of IP Strategy, with over 20 years experience working within multinational corporate environments and the research sector speak at our workshop. Dr Anthony Coleman, Chief Analyst having over eight years’ experience in intellectual property, specifically relating to the valuation of IP for M&A, licensing and investment purposes; patent portfolio review; patent/technology landscaping will also be joining us. To find out more about our speakers you can do so here.

With current government regulations, we are optimistic towards the second half of this year, the conference will be held in the heart of Dublin at the Convention Centre, and also be live streamed to a wider virtual audience.

At Cosmonauts we love working on exciting projects like this, and the past year has not held us back. Virtual events and webinars have developed with the change in business landscape. Staying relevant in the market place has never been more important. If you think your business could benefit from a virtual or in-person event, big or small, get in touch with our team to see if we can find the right package for you.
