With 2023 in full swing, we are pleased to share with you that our global legal tech sister show is returning for its sixth edition – join us now!


Make some room in your April calendars, our prime legal tech conference; Future Lawyer Week (FLW) is back in the UK! The Cosmonauts team is more than excited to announce that FLW has returned for its 6th iteration after a hugely successful show last year! The show aims to unite all those from in-house, private practice, and litigation sectors and is designed to facilitate dialogue between these different areas of law.


FLW UK is more than just an annual legal tech event; it’s an opportunity to broaden your horizons, distinguish your vision, and gain expertise. We provide a three-day action-packed agenda with numerous networking opportunities, stimulating discussions, insightful workshops and a thrilling legal tech Hackathon delivered by key industry experts.

Isabel Parker, Executive Director from Digital | Legal Exchange

Let us introduce you to the wonderful Isabel Parker, who will be the chair for the second day of the conference! She is the Executive Director of the Digital Legal Exchange, a not-for-profit organisation with a mission to accelerate the digital transformation of corporate legal teams.  She has many years of experience in pushing boundaries and driving change in the legal services sector.  Before joining the Exchange, Isabel was Chief Legal Innovation Officer at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where she was part of the leadership team driving the firm’s digital transformation initiative. During Isabel’s tenure, Freshfields was named the FT‘s Most Innovative Law Firm in Europe in 2019.  Isabel herself was named as one of the 10 most innovative lawyers in Europe in 2018, and in 2020 was a winner in the European Women of Legal Tech Awards professional services category.  


Isabel is a passionate advocate for change in the legal sector. She sits on several committees focussed on legal technology adoption and is a mentor for the University of Oxford’s Law and Computer Science Programme.  Isabel is a non-executive director of the World Commerce and Contracting Association and the College of Legal Practice.  She is also editor of the Modern Lawyer journal and her first book, ‘Successful Digital Transformation in Law Firms: a question of culture’ was published in November 2021.


Dr Catriona Wolfenden, Product & Innovation Director | Weightmans LLP

Dr Catriona Wolfenden is a Product and Innovation Director at Weightmans LLP – ensuring delivery of products and innovation that are aligned to the clients’ needs and the overall strategy. Describes herself as the ‘accidental lawyer’, who fell into innovation and grew an award-winning team. 


She is also co-authoring a book about innovation in law firms, which includes all the practical aspects we wish we had known about at the start of our innovation journey (including how long it takes to write a book).

Brian Perrott, Partner | HFW

Brian is an established commercial litigator with a particular speciality in commodities, derivatives and shipping. Brian has over three decades of experience and some 40 plus reported cases (and numerous trade arbitrations).


Brian advises international trading houses, energy companies, banks, commodity start-ups and entrepreneurs and his recent cases have included JV disputes, commodity frauds, warehousing disputes, cargo hostage, all manner of injunctions, cyber relief and derivatives disputes. Brian is one of the most active commercial litigators in the English Courts according to The Lawyer’s Litigation Tracker.


Recently Brian was appointed Global Head of Innovation at HFW and he is currently co-writing a publication entitled “Green Law” looking at the commodities market from an environmental perspective. Brian’s clients span the world and include all the well-known names in this space.
