Sales and Business Development Intern

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, bright and dedicated person, who thrives and is guided by performance in a competitive and demanding environment. You will be conducting market analysis, conducting outbound sales work, talking to clients and contributing to the company plan. For the on-boarding of new customers and related administration activities, you will support our Business Development Team.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Assist with the development, implementation and updating of Key Account Plans for winning business from target clients using appropriate databases, media, industry information.
  • Support Business Development Team with targeted market analysis on key geographies, industries, sectors, opportunities and competitors information
  • Manage and promote internal CRM system including quality audits, reporting, training, pipeline management and system improvements
  • Maintain BD internal actions tracker and chase action owners
  • Complete Expressions of Interest (including CompeteFor submissions) and company PQQs
  • Manage Sales mailbox
  • Assist in event coordination 
  • Manage events calendar and internal BD Team 
  • Analyse markets and organisations to find new customers for our clients
  • Deal with promotional calls with potential customers: introduce our deals to potential customers by presenting them with all relevant information and promoting our competitive advantage over our client’s competitors
  • Manage relationships with current clients, creating constructive partnerships and collaborative ones
  • Establish relationships with potential new clients, as well as good internal relationships
  • Find and build new business leaders and help the company grow from the ground up
  • You can check and identify new opportunities for growth.

Candidate Requirements

– Excellent written English and proofing skills; confident telephone manner

– Analytical skills and ability to interpret historical data to produce meaningful analysis on which to base informed conclusions

– Organised and efficient, able to juggle multiple business development campaigns at a time

– The confidence to speak to a range of potential clients and partners

– Able to dedicate a minimum of 3 days a week to the internship for a period of 2 months

– Determined, team player with a can-do attitude

About the internship

3 days per week commitment, designed to move into a PT or FT role (mon, tues, wed or wed, thurs, fri)
This is a non paid internship, designed to train and develop into a FT or PT role (any sales commissions will be paid)
All expenses paid (travel, lunch, drinks etc)
8 week commitment
Immediate startOffice based in Fulham – (2 minute walk from Putney Bridge Station)Ideal candidate would be post grad at any level, with no additional commitments
