What a first day we had as we launched our groundbreaking virtual event for Legal Innovators to over 300 people, this was not a podcast, this was not a webinar, this was not a time filler while we sit and wait for things to reverse to ‘normality’.

Our first panel discussion topic was on – Building the Practical Foundations for Real Change in Your In-house Legal Team.
We discussed how to make use of billing data, analysis of dispute costs/factors, contract automation, and improving work-flows to drive real change at a foundational level. And, fundamentally, data and how best to leverage this will be central to this discussion.

For the second act of the day We had Manpreet Dhillon Head of Legal Transformation – ContractPodAi®, presenting a very engaging stand alone presentation on Contingency Planning for a New World of Legal.
Manpreet hosted a particularly popular segment of the day bringing insight to the masses throughout her presentation and Q&A covering key topics such as:
– How to ensure your contract management process is ready to react to any crisis.
– Why adoption of full digital transformation in contract management is more crucial then ever.
– A checklist of what you can be doing now and how to better prepare for the future.
Followed by another panel discussion titled Culture First with key speakers:
They discussed the major challenges of In-house Innovation and how developing the right culture, hiring the right people, and working with the right external advisers. The panel held some very popular polls along the way with a-lot of positive engagement from the attendees.

How do you encourage your legal department to innovate? Is innovation part of in-house lawyers’ evaluation process? with Sean suggesting that the best way to providing new innovative legal solutions comes with a strong personal mindset of a lawyer and their team and not just relying on the development new technology to do the work for them.
