And that’s a wrap on London IP Week! We had such a blast meeting everyone, and we can’t thank you enough for your insightful contributions. All of our attendees, speakers, and sponsors are the reason that our events are so successful so thank you from everyone at the Cosmonauts team!

From panel sessions to roundtable discussions, we really had our thinking caps on to shape the future of technology and IP. Take a look at some of our favourite moments (and photos) from the day. You’re in for a treat!

Thank you!

We’d like to extend a very special thank you to our event sponsors who helped to make London IP Week 5.0 possible. We couldn’t have done it without you! From spending the conference in the exhibiting corridor to hosting exciting product demonstrations, our sponsors help us to make London IP Week the best that it can be.

We’re especially thankful for our headline sponsor, Pekama! We hope you got to show our sponsors some love today – they deserve it!

A little about Pekama – “Whether you’re the owner of some intellectual property, or an IP attorney carrying out IP work for your clients, Pekama is here to help. For IP owners, we bring clarity, simplicity and a personal approach to managing your IP”.

Talk of the Town

Another very special thank you to all of our event speakers! The panel sessions and standalone presentations are truly at the heart of what makes London IP Week great, and spark conversations that shape the future of the industry. Our speakers travelled from around the world to join us, from Australia to Singapore to everywhere in between, we can’t thank you all enough for your participation and insights!

Highlights

We had a wonderful week! From catching up with friends we haven’t seen in a while to munching on (too many) delicious snacks, it was a week full of fun, insights, and networking. We’ve rounded up some of our favourite moments and takeaways – take a look for a recap of the conference!

  • ‘Standing Against a Tide Going In’: Day 1’s chair, Neil Crabb from Frontier IP Group plc, considered one of his biggest takeaways from the day to be the importance of accepting new technologies in the world of IP. There’s no use in fighting it!
  • To Hoover or Not to Hoover: In his standalone presentation, James Stonehill from NLPatent hinted at the dangers of the word ‘hoover’ in an IP context – watch out!
  • Mr Nosy and Little Miss Curious: Focusing on the use of tech for prior art and competitor analysis, this panel touched on the fact that AI and other legal tech should be viewed as an assistant to, rather than replacement of, existing legal practices.
  • Where’s Your Value?: Timo Karakashev, CEO, of London IP Week’s Headline Sponsor, Pekama, offering one of the most thought-provoking moments of IP Management day “What holds more value – your patent portfolio or your client list?”
  • The Dynamic Duo: Cozen O’Conner’s very own Jim Gale and Barry Golob gave a wonderfully engaging session regarding litigation and patent trade secrets – what a team!
  • Hands Up!: After the panel,The Most Valuable Things in Life are Intangible, chaired by Aideen Burke, there were many hands up for Q&A’s, with the most questions ever answered at a Cosmonaut event!

Say Cheese!
