SPACEtalks is a one-of-a-kind space tech event with thought-provoking discussions about space R&I and current trends, whilst providing the opportunity to network in person in this cutting-edge industry.

In these years, thousands of low-cost satellites capable of delivering broadband have been launched and thus transforming the space economy has led to severe concerns over the ways of sustainable use of space. The G7 Leaders’ Summit in 2021 already pledged to take action to prevent our planet’s orbit from becoming over-crowded.

Experts with economic, legal, regulatory, technological, and environmental backgrounds had already come together to have a vigorous discussion in a Finland space workshop. They also stressed the importance of necessitating negotiations within an intergovernmental framework and with the relevant space actors.

With such a hot topic revolving around space policy and space tech, we cannot wait to see sparks and bolts fly off our SPACEtalks 3.0 panel “Unified Theory of Governance – Setting a fair system for sustainable use of space.” The third panel of our SPACEtalks 3.0 is entirely dedicated to this topic.

Guiding us through this topic of conversation will be our panel of experts formed by:Arfan Chaudhry – Deputy Director International Strategy and Regulation at BEIS Space Directorate.

• Annette Toivonen – Senior Lecturer in Space Tourism at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences

• Christoph Beischl – Associate Deputy Director at the London Institute of Space Policy and Law (ISPL)

• Tim Davies – Head of Capability, Space and Communications at UK Defence Solutions Centre

If, like us, you want to dive into this topic and explore how to set a fair system to sustain the use of space, then take this as a formal invitation to join us on the 27th of April at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus for SPACEtalks 3.0!

Following the success of last year’s edition, Cosmonauts is pleased to announce the third instalment of the SPACEtalks series is coming back, this time with a new event host– the Science Facilities and Technology Council (STFC).

Designed for aerospace-related industry professionals, decision-makers at aerospace, commercial organisations, start-ups, governmental agencies, and academia, SPACEtalks is an aerospace tech event shaped around discussions about the industry’s current trends.

Join us, our sponsors, speakers and event partners for a full day dedicated to shaping the future steps of the Space Tech industry!
