Our agenda is filling up with the industry’s best and brightest! With four weeks to go, we thought to highlight FOUR exciting speakers who are joining us at FLW UK. It must be our lucky day!
Here’s some more information about a few of our speakers:
Alexandra Lennox | Director | LawtechUK
Alex is Director of LawtechUK, a government backed initiative to transform the legal sector through tech. She designs, implements and oversees impactful, projects that look to solve sector-wide challenges, working with diverse stakeholder groups to drive better outcomes for businesses and society through lawtech.
Before that, she was a legal innovation consultant and product owner at the law firm Freshfields, as well as a corporate lawyer.
John Bennett | COO Legal & Regulatory and Director of Legal | Santander UK
John is a scientist turned General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer with two decades of experience in the financial services industry.
He is a pragmatic and commercially focused lawyer experienced in providing strategic advice to boards and executive committees with a proven track record in transforming and leading high performing teams.
Samantha Groffman | Senior Legal Counsel | Travelodge
Samantha is a triple qualified lawyer (China, New York State and England) with over 20 years of experience in commercial contracts and commercial dispute resolution. Working as senior legal counsel for Travelodge Hotels, one of the largest independent hotel chains, she enjoys working in tandem with her commercial colleagues, and adopting a leadership role in delivering success to the business.
Deborah Smith | Senior Legal Director | Goldman Sachs
Deborah is a senior legal director in the Digital Assets legal team at Goldman Sachs International. She also serves as co-chair of the firm’s EMEA Pro Bono Committee and is a founder of the In House Pro Bono Group.
Deborah joined Goldman Sachs in 2012 and worked in Investment Banking Legal from 2012-2022. Prior to joining the firm, Deborah worked as a US Associate / Counsel at Linklaters, having worked in their Paris, Dubai and London offices. Deborah earned a BA in Political Science from Dartmouth College in 1995 and a JD from New York University School of Law in 2000.
