Sadly, Future Lawyer Week (FLW) UK 5.0 has come to an end – time flies when you’re having fun right?!

FLW UK wouldn’t have been possible without all our attendees, speakers, and sponsors, and we can’t thank you enough for being a part of making this event so successful!

Your participation and contribution to insightful discussions at the conference have sparked conversations and ideas that will shape the industry going forward. We can’t wait to keep these conversations going and have already started planning for next year! Click the button below to pre-register for next year’s FLW UK conference!

Organised in collaboration with headline sponsors DISCO, Neota, and LitiGate, taking place at etc.venues, St Paul’s, FLW UK 5.0 was an insightful conference filled with thought provoking discussions on Legal Tech related topics covering hybrid working, data security, document automation, and much more.

Feeling nostalgic? As a small ‘thank you’ we’ve rounded up some highlights from each of the three days of the conference. Take a look at some of our favourite moments!

Day 1 – Private Practice

We kicked off the conference on a strong note on Private Practice Day!

The first panel of the conference, ‘In the Aftermath’, sparked conversation between legal experts from across the industry on the transition into hybrid working. They discussed the challenges faced by trainees learning virtually, and made us rethink the role that face-to-face interactions have in the onboarding process.

Main takeaways from the day include the importance of adapting to more flexible work styles while not forgetting to nurture onboarding and training processes for new team members.

Day 2 – In-House

In House day was full of insights, fun, and connection!

Radhika Rani from HPE and Sharon Blackman OBE from Citi gave an inspiring keynote speech titled ‘The Intersection of Tech and Pro Bono’. Radhika and Sharon highlighted key tech solutions in the pro bono space and reminded us of the importance of using LegalTech to invest in people.

Day 3 – Litigation

The final day of the conference was jam packed with panels, presentations, and roundtables!

One of our favourite panel sessions from Litigation Day was ‘Back to the Future’ where legal experts held a fascinating conversation about data analytics forecasting litigation outcomes. Their new perspectives and insights provided during their discussion challenged rigid outlooks and are helping to shift the current mindset of the industry.

One of the main takeaways from the panel session was that it’s okay to be conscious of risks, but it’s important to not let that prevent a culture of innovation in the industry.

Never a dull moment!

From delegates travelling for the first time since the pandemic (including from Northern Ireland and Australia !!!), to various speeches and presentations, FLW UK 5.0 was an insightful conference filled with thought provoking discussions on Legal Tech related topics.

We’ve captured our favourite moments and are excited to share them with you! Click the button below to view our photos from FLW UK.
