Future Lawyer Week 6.0 is fast-approaching! With less than a month to go until the event, we’re gearing up for another amazing three days (check out our guides on Private Practice Day and In-House Day) with Litigation Day being the finale!

This conference is for everyone with a stake in legal tech. Meet like-minded professionals, gain valuable insight from industry leaders, and be part of the future of this revolutionary event! We’ve broken down the agenda so that you can get the nitty gritty – keep reading to see what’s in store on April 26th, the day devoted entirely to litigation!

We’re starting off the day with a bang! Chrissie Wolf, Founder of LAB Consultancy and Director of Operations & Membership Strategy at the Digital Legal Exchange, is the Litigation Day Chair and will be giving the opening remarks.

The Industry Keynote Speech, given by the amazing Melina Efstathiou, Head of Litigation Technology at Eversheds Sutherlands follows immediately after.

Our Headline Sponsor Keynote will be delivered by DISCO’s wonderful VP of Enterprise Markets, Tripp Hemphill.

Our first 45-minute panel takes a deep dive into one of the hottest topics across tech: artificial intelligence. ‘More Than Meets the AI’ hosts Paul Harrington, Consultant at Bate & Albon Solicitors; Nick Price, Partner at Osborne Clarke; David Webb, Lead E-Data Project Manager at DLA Piper UK LLP; Gavin Chesney, International Counsel at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP; Richard English, Director, Review Operations at DISCO; and Jon Fowler, Managing Director at Secretariat. This panel will look at how AI is establishing standardisation across disclosure practices and litigation lifecycle management.

The next session follows a similar theme – ‘The Era of ChatGPT’ analyses what generative AI could mean for the legal world and will explore the advantages and perilous limitations in the most-talked-about technology since the beginning of the internet. Hear from industry leaders Kieran McPate, Senior Manager, Sales New Business at Relativity, and Vijay Rathour, Partner, Cyber & Digital Investigations at Grant Thornton.

The content doesn’t stop during our networking breaks, either! Consilio’s Director of Product Management, Rob Cowen, will be giving a product demo during our one-hour coffee break.

‘How Far Is Too Far?’ This panel session takes on litigation analytics – from trends to judicial statistics! Chloe Morris, Managing Associate at Simmons & Simmons, Leonard Scudder, Partner at Berkeley Rowe, Brian Perrott, Partner at HFW, and Melina Efstathiou take on this vital topic.

Andy Shelford, Director, Customer Experience at Everlaw takes the spotlight next! ‘The Power of AI in Legal Document Review’ explores AI’s place in legal document review and how technology can uncover hidden truths, saving time, energy, and cost.

After lunch, we’re back with another panel! ‘Do What You Do Best and Outsource the Rest’ looks at how organisations should evaluate their best target operating model for eDiscovery. Get key insight from James Tee, Partner at Collas Crill; Jude Copeland, Associate at Cleaver Fulton Rankin Solicitors; Helen Lightfoot, Advanced Delivery & Solutions Practice Lead Litigation at Allen & Overy; Adrian Coates, Director – Forensic Technology at FRP Advisory; and Jess Wu, Strategic Partnership Manager at Everlaw.

Our final standalone is hosted by CRMCS’ Managing Director, Paul McQuillan. ‘SUPERHUMAN LAWYERS’ takes a deep dive into faster communication, bots, AI, and Cloud Services – the tools enabling us to do more and, in essence, “be more” than ever before. But is this a good thing?

And… we’ve reached the final panel of Future Lawyer Week UK 6.0. But don’t fret – this is one great finale! ‘Ready, Respond and Resolve’ is your one-stop-shop for ESG litigation. Hear from industry legends Jessica Thomas, Senior Associate at Taylor Wessing, Laura Berry, Partner at DAC Beachcroft LLP, Louise Barber, Senior Associate at Herbert Smith Freehills LLP, and Simon Bishop, Partner at Hausfeld.

The content isn’t stopping there, either! Our roundtables – a team favourite – are back and better than ever! This hour-long session hosts a number of industry leaders openly discussing key issues and topics in legal tech. You’ll be able to get to know their views and standings personally!

The Litigation Day chair, Chrissie Wolf, finishes off the day with a few closing remarks, and it’s time to have a drink (or two)! Our legendary drinks reception caps off another fantastic edition of Future Lawyer Week.
